CIARAN Storm hitting Western Europe

On the morning of November 2nd, the CIARAN North Atlantic Storm struck Brittany, the western region of France, with wind speeds exceeding 200 km/h, resulting in substantial roof damage and the toppling of numerous trees.

Huge waves were recorded by conventionals and SAR altimeters, but also by the CFOSAT rotating wave spectrometer SWIM, which Fourth International Science Team Meeting is held this week from 28-30 November 2023 in Nanjing, China. https://cfosat-st-2023.sciencesconf.org/
