The S3View portal is a web application (based on Syntool) developed by OceanDataLab at the demand of ESA to visualize data from the Sentinel-3 mission.

Eight products are currently available on the S3view portal:

OLCI true RGB color product includes three bands (665nm, 560nm, 490nm) from L1 EFR NRT data.
For each band, the radiance has been corrected for atmospheric signal using a look up table provided by CNES (A. DICK, CNES, DSO/SI/MO, 2017-07-04 13:02:33.425512).

OLCI Near Infra-Red (NIR) product includes the 865nm band.
The radiance has also been corrected for atmospheric signal using the aforementioned CNES look up table.

SLSTR false RGB color product includes three bands (865nm, 659nm, 555nm) from L1 RBT NRT data.
For each band, the radiance has been corrected for atmospheric signal using a look up table provided by CNES (A. DICK, CNES, DSO/SI/MO, 2017-07-05 08:45:26.390193).

SLSTR Infra-Red (IR) product includes the 10.85µm band from L1 RBT NRT data.
A mask is applied on lands and clouds (a filter has been implemented for the latter using SST climatology and a selection of cloud mask bits).

SRAL Sea Surface Height anomaly (SSHA) at 1 Hz Ku band from L2 WATER NRT data.

SRAL corrected 'ocean' significant waveheight (SWH) at 1 Hz Ku band from L2 WATER NRT data.

SRAL Altimeter wind speed at 1 Hz Ku band from L2 WATER NRT data.

SRAL corrected 'ocean' backscatter coefficient (Sigma0) at 1 Hz Ku band from L2 WATER NRT data.

This web application used to only contain data that we processed by monthly batches (we have a continuous coverage since May 2017)…
Some of you already knew the application and asked for more frequent updates in order to have a look at the latest acquisition as soon as possible…
And here it is! Near Real Time processing is now live!

The EOCloud platform (https://eocloud.cloudferro.com/) where the S3View processing chain is running hosts the whole archive of Sentinel-3 data (among other datasets) et retrieves NRT data within a few hours after acquisition.
It also provides the EOFinder service (https://finder.eocloud.eu), an interface and a webservice to explore their data archive and find the files that correspond to a set of criteria.
We use this service to detect the availability of new NRT data on their platform and trigger the processing chain which produces the visualizations that you can see in the S3View portal (usually 4 hours after acquisition).
